Please notice :: To acheive the best results during your horse's Capstar
administration, it is best not to vaccinate your horse, but if you absolutely must vaccinate, it is best to wait until the summer months so that your horse can pass through the period where head shaking symptoms would normally begin in the spring. For those horses that have not been vaccinated but continue to produce head shaking symptoms in the spring, we can clearly determine what exact Capstar bottle should be given at that time.

If the horse is vaccinated, head shaking symptoms will most likely return as well as complicate what Capstar remedy will be needed in the spring. Due to this new complicated picture, an additional case analysis may be necessary. It is as if we are back to square one, where you were when you first started. We can still remove these new head shaking symptoms as they were removed initially, but valuable time, effort, and money has been lost. And let's not forget the continued suffering of the horse that has to deal with these head shaking symptoms.
